![]() ![]() Fort Firewall - Protecting your computer against threats on the internet usually means one has to filter internet access more strictly. I have a small bug to report for the 3.5.5 version of Fort Firewall(the "圆4" firewall version).I ve observed it on WIndows 10 Pro 圆4 latest build. When the computer recovers from hibernation the taskbar icon goes away. The service seems to be running though. You can Download Fort Firewall 3.9.11 Latest from our software library for free. Of course, these are required when interactivity is enabled. Spyshelter or WFC have this mode, most probable Comodo too. This option could be available for the user to choose, at a first pop-up for a connection. This could be added along some interactive option, to make a more general rule or to select some preset/build-in type of rule. "Install Mode" is a mode that minimizes the amount of alerts when the user installs some trusted app.For example, when you install some app like origin, opera or something like that, they would spawn all kind of procesess that require connectivity for updating and such.Practically it would be a temporary allow rule, for whatever runs and was initiated by the user, at that moment. There never was a rule for FIrefox in the Fort firewall app.Yes, "entertainment mode" would be -> no alerts when something is running full screen.Outpost Firewall Pro implementation, as an example, is quite straightforward regarding this. Went to the Application groups where i ve created a group called Browsers. In there, in the right panel (where the Allowed ones are) i have manually added, via copy paste, the path to the FIrefox executable. An app error was shown that said that Firefox already exists and the firewall crashed. At restart of the app same error was shown, but the Firefox path was still there in the Allowed section of the Browser group, where I ve add-ed it.įirefox works so what s with the error ? As there was no rule for Firefox in the app, could it be a conflict with other firewall rules ? ![]() So after the installation I ve enabled the internet.I ve started the sandboxed Firefox browser and of course it could not connect, as there was no rule in the Fort app for applications. There is a rule in Tinywall though, for Firefox. So it runs along TinyWall 3.0.4 official.Windows Firewall service is turned off in Services, for the 6 version it seems it can be done. It is installed on the same machine (specified in the previous post), from which Kaspersky Free was removed. ![]()
